Detailed Information

Clip bolts according to DIN 6378 are clamping components which are used in the manufacture of workpieces. They form part of fixtures which are in immediate contact with workpieces for machining and which must be firmly connected to them.

To tighten the fixture the clamping clips of several clip bolts grip the edges or flanges of the workpiece to be machined. To put the fixture in place or to remove it, the bolts are turned so as to rotate the clamping clips and release the workpiece.

It is recommended that the clip bolt assembly should be provided with a means of limiting rotation as well as a support for the bolts, as shown in the example of application.
