Circlips (retaining rings) for bores – Normal type and heavy type
Circlips within the meaning this standard are retaining rings for holding structural components (e.g. rolling bearings) in bores. They are given an eccentric shape, are fitted with spring retention in grooves and are suitable for the transmission of axial forces (see in this respect clause 7).
