This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the steel headed studs (hereafter referred to as “studs”) used with being attached to steel beams by arc stud welding mainly for preventing slippage of composite girder construction of steel and concrete in civil engineering and architectural structures.

Further, the weldability of the studs specified in this Standard shall be in accordance with Annex.
