Introduction This Japanese Industrial Standard has been prepared based on ISO 4026, ISO 4027, ISO 4028 and ISO 4029 published in 1993 as the 2nd edition, without alteration in the technical contents with respect to the corresponding parts (quality, shape and dimensions). However, items which are not specified in the corresponding International Standards are appended to this Standard as Japanese Industrial Standard.

1 Scope This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the steel hexagon socket set screws (hereafter referred to as “steel set screws”), stainless steel hexagon set screws (hereafter referred to as “stainless set screws”) and the nonferrous metal hexagon set screws (hereafter referred to as “nonferrous screws”) generally used.
